Every Friday during term time at 7:30pm the Youth Group meets in the Annex at East Cowton Church.  The ages range from 10 to 14 years and are open to youth living in the East Richmond Team area. The evenings involve different activities, both indoor and outside.  The activities include:-  Treasure Hunts  Quiz’s  Table games  Outside sports.  Collecting for the annual shoebox appeal – In 2010 we made up 100 boxes.  Films  BBQ’s  Drama  Baking and tuck shop Bethany Project A recent highlight is the support for the Bethany Project in Tanzania. In 2009 Youth Group members visited the project and helped teach English, as well as raise donations for the building of new dining facilities.  The Bethany Project is an Orphanage located near Mwanza in North West Tanzania and more details can be found at www.bethanyfamily.net  The Youth Group are planning a return trip in 2012 and continue to raise funds for the Orphanage.  Why not join them and help to make a difference.   Youth Service On a Sunday evening in December we held our first Youth Service. The Youth Group led the service, it was interactive and everyone had a great time.  Plans are to hold the similar services four times a year. Youth Group Leaders The Youth Group is led by Steve Cooke and we would welcome volunteers.
