North Cowton is located in Richmondshire and has two churches, St Lukes, Church
of England and a Methodist Chapel.The local school is called North and South
Cowton Community Primary School.
The village has a public house called the Blacksmiths Arms and other amenities
include the village hall, football pitch and children's playground, and there is also a
petrol station/shop in close proximity outside the village on the B1263 road. The
village is served by public transport
